Just our Boo Boo

Hailey's 1st Dance Recital

Hailey had her first dance recital on December 16th at the Judson Performing Arts Center. I was such a proud Mom and got so emotional when she came on stage and performed her routine. She had a blast and looked way to adorable in her Christmas costume. She had a big head for the rest of the day and it didn't help that I went shopping afterwards while she was still in her costume. Many of the people told her how cute she looked. Stay tuned till next year for the video. :)

Christmas Pictures

This was a fun day. Hailey was excited to wear her Christmas dress and take her pictures. She actually kept asking when it was her turn so when it was our turn she shut down on us and it took some major bribing to get her to open up and smile. Emily did wonderfully especially when she fell asleep on Daddy while taking the pictures.

Emily 5-6 months old

Emily had her 6 month check up on November 21st and she weighed 14 lbs. 4 oz. and was 26" long. Her doctor said that she is tall and skinny. My poor baby had to get 7 vaccines, so that was two pokes in each leg. She is sitting up on her own pretty well and is trying like hell to crawl. So far she does not like green beans very much but loves all of her fruits, sweet potatoes and squash. She is also doing pretty well with a spoon and is ready for real food. She actually stole a graham cracker from another child at day care and ate the whole piece. Big sister Hailey has no problem getting her to laugh and helps me take care of her most of the time, meaning when Hailey wants to.

Playing on the neighbors bench

Hailey was sitting on our next door neighbor's bench outside by their tree, so I decided to take pictures. They came back home while we were taking the pictures. The next day the bench was moved. I'm such a bad neighbor. :)

Halloween 07'

We had a blast this Halloween. All of our nieces and nephews came over to trick or treat as well as my cousin Laura and her son Caleb. My parents and my brothers and their wives came over too so we had a full house. Hailey really enjoyed trick or treating this year and every time she finished at a house she told me "she did it". Emily fell asleep while we were trick or treating. Hailey chose our theme this year and it was Disney's Alice in Wonderland so Hailey was Alice, Emily was the white rabbit and I was The Queen of Hearts

Our 2 year Anniversary

October 22nd marked our 2 year anniversary. We can't believe it has been 2 years since our wedding. It feels like just yesterday we were going crazy with wedding plans. Not too much has happened during the past two years other than the birth of our precious Emily. We are still looking for land so we can buy a new and bigger house and Michael can finally be back in the country, so he can pee off his back porch as he says again. We went to Fredricksburg for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary and we knew the whole town Friday night just trying to find some where to eat. Saturday we went shopping, then to the NIMITZ museum, and did a wine tasting at The Chisom Trail Winery. After all that fun we went to dinner at the Cotton Gin where they sell Jack Daniels ice cream (very good, by the way). Sunday we finised The NIMITZ museum, went to the Wildseed Farm and finished up with a tour of Lukenbach, TX. Hope you enjoy the past few years in about 11 mins (Sorry it's so long.)

The Guadalupe County Fair 07'

We took the girls and our niece Jenna to the fair on Saturday (10-13-07) and they had a blast. First we went to the rodeo and Hailey couldn't take her eyes off of it. She loves watching the horses the best, go figure. Emily was perfect the whole time as usual. After the rodeo, we took Hailey and Jenna to the petting zoo and to ride some carnival rides. The girls ran me ragged especially since I had to go on a couple of the rides with them since Hailey isn't quite big enough. Their favorite ride was the dragon roller coaster (rode that one twice), the spinning strawberries and of course the pony rides. By this time Emily was fast asleep on our friend Kim. Glad she could make it to hold our baby while we played. After riding the rides, the big girls got their faces painted with matching unicorns. Finally we left about 11:30 p.m. and they all fell asleep in less than 5 minutes.

The Gap girls

My best friend Michelle bought the girls the outfits and insisted I take pictures of them. Like she had to twist my arm to do that.

School Pictures

The pictures were taken on 9-11-07 at the girls day care. Emily was almost 4 months old and Hailey was 3 1/2 years old. We just got them in today and I hope you enjoy them.

Hailey's Dentist Appt.

Hailey had her first dentist appointment today (9-20-07) and she was a very big girl. She does not have any cavities (thank goodness) and she will need braces more than likely when she is older or have some baby teeth pulled to make room for her permanent teeth. She is getting so big.

Emily's 4 month check up

Today (9-19-07) Emily had her 4 month check up and she is doing wonderfully. She weighs 12 lbs. 7 oz. and is 25.4" long (again bigger than Hailey at that age). She is in the 80% of her weight and length. She also had to get 6 vaccines today, and she brought tears to my eyes when she started to cry. She is smiling and laughing up a storm. She rolls over both ways, she just can roll back yet. She is trying so hard to sit up on her own and sucks on her feet until they are soaked. Emily perfers to be sitting up, so she can see whats going on and will watch whatever is on TV especially NASCAR with Daddy. She only gets up about once to twice a night to eat a little bit and then goes right back to sleep. Hailey makes her laugh all the time and tells me that she loves her sister.

Back to school

Ok I am back in school. I am only taking one class so I don't make myself crazy with studying and what not. Maybe one of these days I will get a degree, but in the mean time I will take one class at a time so I don't miss too much of my family.

"I make you happy!"

Hailey is finally potty trained. Woo Hoo! She says when she is going "I make you happy" because that's what I told her when she did go in the potty. Michael and I are extremely relieved that we have overcome that obstacle with her. We were beginning to think it would never happen. :)

"I just want to dance."

Hailey started taking dance lessons at the end of August in Universal City. She is taking tap, ballet and tumbling every Wednesday for an hour at a time and she just loves it. The first day of dance class she didn't want to leave. "I just want to dance" she told her teacher. Needless to say she did not get enough in the first day, so we practice when we get home to help get it out of her system until the following week. She now knows when Wednesdays are and that she gets to go to dance class.

Emily at 3 months old

These pictures were taken when Emily was 3 months old and of course big sister Hailey had to be included in the pictures. Hailey was tickled pink to take pictures with her baby sister. Emily has started to roll over and is getting more and more silly as the days go by. The remainder of the pictures were taken throughout the month of our baby girl.

"I want to hold my baby sister."

Hailey wants to hold Emily all the time except when she is "not happy", so we have tons of pictures of our girls together. Hailey tells me to take a picture of them together when she holds her. She tells me all the time that she loves her and copies how we talk to her. I have to remind her sometimes that I'm the Mommy.

Hailey's new hair cut

Hailey's teachers from school/day care said that her new hair cut makes her look older. Like we need that.

Emily at 1-2 months old

Emily had her 2 month check up on July 18th and all is well. She weighs 10 lbs. 5 oz. (a little bigger than Hailey was at 2 months old) and is 23" long (also more than Hailey was at 2 months old). She is smiling like crazy when we talk to her. She only wakes up about twice a night to get a little nibble and goes right back to bed. She sleeps the best when she is cuddling with Mommy or Daddy.

Fourth of July

We spent our rainy Fourth of July in Seguin at Papa Noah's house. We intended to go to the Freedom Parade, but it was canceled due to all the rain, however we were able to watch the fireworks that Seguin does each year at Starke Park. In the beginning Hailey kept covering her ears, but she got into them, especially the blue fireworks. Emily practically slept through her first Fourth of July.
